Product information

Introducing Hydrangea paniculata 'Skyfall' – a sumptuous and striking hardy shrub that showcases the beauty of nature's artistry. With an impressive plant size, reaching up to 200cm (79in) in height and spread, 'Skyfall' stands as a marvel in your garden. This versatile shrub thrives in both sun and semi-shade, making it suitable for a variety of garden settings, including patios, cottage gardens, cut flower gardens, specimen plantings, and woodland gardens.

    • Beds, borders or containers in Partial shade
    • Moist, fertile & well drained Average garden soil
    • Planting period - December to AprilFlowering period - July to September
    • Hydrangea paniculata prefers a sunny or semi-shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any non-alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply.
    • Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. If necessary, Hydrangea paniculata will tolerate hard pruning of the oldest stems to a few buds from ground level. This will also encourage larger flower heads to be produced. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: All parts of hydrangea will upset the stomach if eaten. The foliage may also aggravate skin allergies.
