Imperata Grass Red Baron - Potted Plant x 1

Bring structure and colour to your summer borders with Japanese Blood Grass, which will add amazing colour, texture and interest. Ideal for fans of bright colours and grasses, Imperata cylindrical ‘Rubra’ combines both into one unusual and dramatic grass. The leaves are green at the base, with red tips that appear more intense as summer progresses into autumn, when they begin to shine like a jewel and light up the garden when it’s starting to look a little past its best. Height & Spread: 50cm (20”). Imperata can be planted in full sun or semi-shade and requires a moist, well-drained soil, especially in winter. Plant in groups of three or five for the most dramatic effect. Remove any all-green shoots if they appear. Clumps can be divided in the spring if large enough to do so.
