    Magnolia George Henry Kern is a hardy Magnolia shrub, a hybrid of the Stellata and Liliflora varieties. Light green leaves are accompanied in the spring months by masses of delicate, soft pink flowers shaped like goblets. Flowers are beautifully scented and are perfect for attracting bees and butterflies to the garden.


    Plant your Magnolia George Henry Kern in moist, well-drained soil in a sunny spot in the garden. This plant is relatively slow growing, which makes it perfect for growing in containers and for smaller gardens.

    • Choose a sunny to partially shaded location with well-drained, fertile soil for planting 'Magnolia George Henry'. Dig a hole that is wider and slightly shallower than the root ball. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring that the top of the root ball is level with or slightly above the soil surface. Backfill with soil, gently firming it around the roots. Water thoroughly after planting and provide regular watering during dry spells.
