Learning about the learning thermostat!
I had mine installed just a week ago and already my home is much more comfortable. It used to go from too cold to too hot! I'm still learning what it can do but being able to turn up the thermostat from my phone is really handy, I arrive home to a cozy home but don't have to set it til I know I'm on my way. Being lazy I can also switch it on from my bed before I get up in the morning. Perfect. So easy to set up and link to the Internet. Anyone could do it.

A wonderful 21st century thermostat.
Designed by ex-Apple employees and then the company was purchased by Google. What is there not to like? A wonderful reinvention of the thermostat that does exactly what I needed. It also helps to reduce the bills which doesn't hurt either.

Well made product
Just installed this myself - very easy and no need for professional installation. However, it is designed for the European market (per Nest themselves) and does not fit a standard UK electrical box. Also there is no provision for rear cable entry, so you have to drill a hole yourself! Otherwise would have awarded five stars. Seems a very well made product and it's appearance just makes you want to use it.

easyiest of all the smart thermostats to install
never had a thermostat on the wall before, only thermostatic rad valves. know this will save me big time in energy bills, as it switches the heating of when no one is in. the number of times my heating was left on constant by the kids is countless. looking forward to smaller bills. and I can control it with my phone. happy days

Nest thermostat
This thermostat is excellent. If you forget to turn off the system when you go to work, it is great to be able to connect to the system using the app in order to turn off the boiler. No problems found so far, very pleased.

Great gadget, looks great too!
Bought this after loads of research into smart thermostats, This one was the only one that looked well designed and not just a boring LCD like the hive ones. Love it, the App and Online technologies are a huge bonus. The instructions arent that clear for UK Installation but it is fairly simple to find translations online to suit UK Boilers (Mine is a Worcester Greenstar 30SI and it works great!).

Did install Myself took me about 45 minutes to install, looks good on the wall have got through the learning period and its working brilliant, Would recommend to anyone looking for somthing better to control the heating

I have a warm Nest for a home
took a while to get used to it, however when on way home I can put heating on. I dont have to move to adjust the settings except if my phone is not near to hand. I installed it myself its easy as long as you've got a basic understanding of how to read english and follow the instructions. love it; its starting to get warmer now so not on as much just mornings to take chill out of morning air. I work shifts so cannot really set a weekly timer but saying that the timer is very easy to set. Down side I bought the very pricey stand that goes with it as didnt want to wall mount it, bought from B and Q as i got 10% off offer, look around it is cheaper else where.

Clever device, but be careful with wiring
I bought this as my old thermostat had become very unreliable due to it being old. This is a clever device and you can spend time scheduling, which I did as I had a new toy. It was a bit like programming a standard programmer. This device learns your habits, like when you turn on the heating for that little extra boost or when you turn down the temperature. Then it starts adjusting automatically, which you can always override. I use the iphone app which works great and is very simple. You will need to get someone to install it for you, unless you no someone who can fit it for you as it need the box that talks to your boiler to be hard-wired. Wasn't just a direct swap for the old thermostat. WARNING: Do not just connect the NEST thermostat to the wires that were plugged into your old thermostat, as the NEST needs a 12 volt supply not the 240 volts coming down those little wires. You will brick your NEST if you do so and end up with an expensive paperweight.
