Product information
Phormium ‘Bronze Baby’ produces a glorious sword-shaped leaves with bronze colours making a beautiful architectural statement. This hardy perennial is a compact variety with purple-bronze foliage and tubular red flowers in the summertime. Ideal for displaying in patio containers, garden borders or planting with some gravel around. This plant is suitable in full sun or semi shade and will also need protecting in the cold periods and would recommend moving the plant in a sheltered position. Height and spread: 6cm (24in).Grow Phormium on fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a protected position in full sun. Phormiums are well suited to mild coastal locations and can cope in poorer soils, but do enjoy a fertile soil - so it is well worth incorporating some well-rotted manure into the soil when planting.Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, Phormium need little attention, but will require some winter protection should temperatures dip much below-5C (23F). Where winters are particularly cold and wet, it may be preferable to grow Phormiums in large patio containers that can be moved undercover during the coldest months.Product Specifications:Position in: Full Sun, sun or semi shadeHeight up to 60cm (24in)Spread up to 60cm (24in)Supplied as 3x 9cm PotImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
