Bedroom storage buying guide

Your bedroom should be your sanctuary, but more often than not it becomes a hiding place for all the little (or big!) things you don’t want visitors to find. This can make it feel at best a little cluttered, and at worst stuffy, stifling and oppressive.

To retain a sense of calm (or at least, controlled chaos) invest in clever furniture and some smart bedroom storage. There are a lot more options than you’d think!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does what it should perfect, easy to fit, silky smooth to use, should last a life time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very solid & durable. A very good product. An excellent price for all round well designed piece of kit. The motion is fluid and smooth with no jerking and the door hangs evenly and securely from the brackets. The instructions supplied with the product are not great. However if you take a few moments to inspect the complete kit, you can work it out fairly easily. I honestly can say this is one of the best products of it's type on the market. There is also a 914mm version available which is in fact cheaper. However if your door fits within the 762mm track already it is worth paying slightly more for this kit. The reason for this is the larger track does not evenly distribute the weight on smaller doors and although will still work, you will not achieve as smooth a motion. This track can support the weight of a solid wood internal door and is not restricted to lighter "egg box" doors or wardrobes. You can be confident that any internal door, including those with glass panes are secure on this and will not fall off or be damaged. You will also not have to use any oil, grease or other lubricants. Highly recommended purchase. Safety note: Hanging a door on one of these brackets is a two person job. You risk injuring your fingers when attaching the door brackets to the track if you try to do this alone. (I speak from personal experience here, it hurt!) Installation Tip: Use a piece of scrap wood or other solid object to place underneath the door to hold it still when attaching the top brackets to the track. Convenience Tip: If you want the door to close by it's self, simply raise the far end of the rail by as little as 2mm and the door will drift closed on it's own. This should give you an indication of how smooth this apparatus actually is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slick purchase Have used these sliding door gears before and they are simply the best out there. The fact that I bought this one for a quarter of the normal price makes it all the better!
