The Casablanca variety are an extremely rewarding vegetable to grow that can be used in almost any recipe with an outstanding taste and floury texture – the perfect all-rounder that can be roasted, mashed or boiled.
- Moist, fertile & well drained soil
- Plant in Feb - April, Harvest period June - July
- Chit your potatoes before you plant. Chitting allows the seed potato to produce little sprouts before they're planted in the ground. This gives them a great head start. The easiest way to chit seed potatoes is by placing them in a egg carton, positioned in a cool frost free location. Once the little shoots are about 3cm long, they're ready for planting.
