Verve’s Desiree Seeds will produce wonderfully red skinned potatoes that are great for roasting and easy to grow. This heavy cropping, hardy variety is ideal for those looking to grow their own potatoes at home.
- Moist, fertile & well drained soil
- Plant in March - May, Harvest period August - October
- Chit your potatoes before you plant. Chitting allows the seed potato to produce little sprouts before they're planted in the ground. This gives them a great head start. The easiest way to chit seed potatoes is by placing them in a egg carton, positioned in a cool frost free location. Once the little shoots are about 3cm long, they're ready for planting.
