Product information

Also known as the Snowball Shrub, Guelder Rose, or European Cranberry Bush, is a hardy shrub that provides year-round interest in your garden. During May and June, it bursts into clusters of snowball-like flowers, which are highly regarded by florists for their green-tinged appearance that matures into brilliant white blooms. As the seasons progress, the flowers give way to glossy, red berries that adorn the shrub in autumn. This reliable, bushy deciduous shrub features vibrant green foliage with a shape reminiscent of maple leaves during the summer months. As autumn approaches, these leaves transform into beautiful shades of purple and red, adding even more visual appeal. Viburnum opulus is an excellent choice for wildlife gardens, especially for encouraging various forms of wildlife. It's a superb specimen shrub that provides interest throughout the year, making it an ideal addition to cottage gardens, wildlife gardens, low-maintenance gardens, cut flower gardens, woodland gardens, and coastal gardens. This hardy shrub thrives in both sunny and semi-shaded positions, reaching heights of up to 5 meters (10 feet) with a spread of 4 meters (8 feet).
