Product information

Indispensable in the garden for its scented flowers and winter berries, Thompson & Morgan Viburnum ‘Lisarose’ is an attractive, evergreen cultivar bearing clusters of creamy white flowers borne from deep red buds. With a flowering period between December and April, this useful shrub provides valuable winter interest at a time when colour is seldom found in the garden. Particularly versatile, Thompson & Morgan Viburnum ‘Lisarose’ can be grown in borders or woodland edges or used to create a dense, evergreen hedge that pollinating insects will love. The blooms also make excellent cut flowers. Choose a position in sun or semi-shade when growing Thompson & Morgan Viburnum ‘Lisarose’ and plant in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting. Evergreen Viburnums should be sheltered from cold, drying winds. Water regularly throughout the growing season until plants are fully established. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant in spring. Once flowering has finished in summer, trim Thompson & Morgan Viburnum ‘Lisarose’ to fit the available space, and removing any dead or damaged growth. Viburnum can also be renovated in spring with harder pruning if they become too poorly shaped after a few years.
