    Viburnum x Bodnantense 'Charles Lamont' is a hardy shrub is a popular winter flowering variety for gardens throughout the UK. Viburnum x Bodnantense 'Charles Lamont' is tough and versatile, producing elegant, heavily fragranced pink blooms which make a lovely addition to borders in a wide variety of soil types, positions and areas. In autumn, when its flowers have fallen, its foliage transforms into shades of vivid orange and yellow, creating an impressive autumnal show. It has secured a coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit for its long season of interest and its minimal need for maintenance. Ideal For: Cottage Gardens, Scented Gardens, Wildlife Gardens, Low Maintenance Garden, Cut Flower Garden, Specimen Plant, Woodland Garden. Hardiness: Hardy. Position In: Sun or semi shade. Height: Up to 300cm. Spread: Up to 200cm. Viburnum x Bodnantense 'Charles Lamont' is supplied as 2x 9cm pots. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. Grow Viburnum plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in a moderately fertile, well drained soil. To reduce the risk of frost damage to its winter blooms, plant your Viburnum in a sheltered area, close to an entrance way or path, so the fragrance can be enjoyed. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Viburnum requires little pruning.
