Product information

Probably the best know of all the poppies, the Flanders Poppy will provide a splash of scarlet red in a wildlife setting and is often seen sprinkling colour into the cornfields in early sum-mer. Scatter the seeds in a sunny corner where little else will grow! Poppy seeds are com-monly used in baking and added to curries for texture, the birds love them too!Sow early spring to early summer or autumn outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Scatter the seed and rake in lightly. When large enough to handle, remove any seedlings which are too close to each other so that they are 15-30cm (6-12in) apart. They prefer a sunny open site but will grow in most sites and soils. For the longest flowering period and to prevent self-seeding remove the seed pods as the petals fall.Product Specifications:Position: Full sunHeight: Up to 60cm (24in) Spread: Up to 30cm (12in)Ease of Sowing: Easy for allEase of aftercare: Easy for allSupplied as 1 Packet (2000 seeds) Poppy Flanders (Wild)Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
