B&Q have teamed up with Hertz On Demand to offer you a convenient hourly van rental service to take your purchase home. In three easy steps you could be driving your van home from any of our participating stores*.

In order to drive, you must be over the age of 21 and have held your licence for at least a year. You also need to hold a credit or Visa debit card in your own name. Registration is simple and you can be on the road in minutes!

Pick up a leaflet in-store and take it to the check-out. You will receive an enrolment pack pre-loaded with your first hour of driving credit for just £14. Additional time can be booked in one hour increments. You can also keep a van overnight for £30 or pay £70 for 24 hours. Alternatively, you can pre-register on-line , then activate your pack in-store.

Once you've purchased a pack in-store, call Hertz On Demand to register and make your booking. The call takes just a few minutes. Alternatively, you can pre-register on-line , then activate your pack in-store and make a booking.

If you are already a Hertz On Demand member, or wish to make a repeat booking, simply book on-line , over the phone, or by using the i-phone app. You'll receive a text message and email confirming your reservation.

Unlock the van by holding your membership card or key fob over the card reader located behind the windscreen. The keys are inside the vehicle and ready to go. Follow the instructions on the display screen to start your journey. If you need to top up with diesel, a fuel card is provided for your convenience.

Using the service is simple. A quick start guide and FAQ's can be found in your membership pack. Alternatively, you can use the display pad to request a call-back from inside the vehicle at any time.

To return the vehicle, just park in the space you took it from. Leave the keys in the van and the fuel tank at least a quarter full. End your booking using the display screen, collect your possessions, and touch out to lock the doors. There's no need to go back into the store.

Membership to Hertz On Demand is free for life, so please hang on to your membership card (or key fob) for future car and van bookings.
