- Soil moisture: Well drained
- Remove the plants and soak them in water for 3-4 hours. Lightly press each bulb hollow side up into multipurpose compost in pots or trays to start growth. Dig soil improver in to the planting area before planting When the foliage has died back, usually after the first frost, cut back stems to 5cm above soil level. Not winter hardy. To over-winter, dig up the tubers and store them in a cool, dry and frostfree place. Replant at the same time next year. Flower bulbs may cause skin irritation - use gloves when handling. Harmful if eaten/may cause skin allergy

Only 1 in a packet and it didn't grow
According to this website, there are "approx. 8 bulbs" in the box. I bought two... they contained one bulb each (although they looked more like sticks than bulbs). I soaked them in water as suggested and planted them in fresh compost. After three weeks of watering and sunlight they still just looked like sticks - no leaves or shoots in sight. After 5 weeks I got fed up and decided to check whether the roots had grown so I pulled one of them up. No roots, just a dead and rotten bit of stick. Seriously disappointing - I was expecting 10 or so plants and got none. Save your money and your time.
