Brilliant

Basically unusable
This switch not only allows you to set the brightness of your lights, but also (not mentioned in the description) fades the lights slowly on and off. This means that associated bulbs must be appropriate for dimmers - which most modern low-energy bulbs are not. Having therefore invested more money on new dimmerable bulbs, I found that the switch only worked spasmodically anyway - presumably because it can't cope with the low wattage of new bulbs. As far as I can see, this switch is designed to work only with traditional bulbs which are now being phased out.
