Makes a good doormat
We bought this as a doormat for a pathway that is prone to puddles. It does this job just fine - easy to put together and looks good. (To fit together, lay the projecting knobs over the corresponding holes and stand gently on them.) As far as play area protection is concerned, the plastic does seem quite hard so it would protect the grass more than the children's knees. I was expecting something more rubber-like.
