Long delivery times. Not worth paying for assembly
The first thing to point out is that you will be dealing with 4 companies here. Bought from B&Q, manufactured by Forest, delivered by another company, and assembled by the fourth. This was purchased for me as a gift; the order was placed before the 14th May (not certain when, so it could have been weeks before), and the shed wasn't assembled until 20th June. Overall, the shed seems nice, although I don’t have much to compare it to. The 'security' latch could probably be pulled off by hand - will definitely be investing in a more secure latch. My gripe with the assembly is mainly due to the way the security windows were fixed. This is a selling point of the shed, but the ‘professional’ fitters installed them entirely the wrong way, meaning the windows were barely even held in place never mind securely fitted. I am by no means a DIY expert, but it was glaringly obvious to me that the windows weren't fitted correctly. Luckily, they had also failed to use the supplied security screws, so I was able to sort it out myself quite easily. Be warned, the windows are made from a thin plastic film (which is why they are shatterproof), but they won't be to everyone's taste, as it is quite obvious from the way they reflect light and wobble in the wind that they aren't glass. I also suspect a good Stanley knife would easily cut through them, so I would suggest a standard glass or plastic window would be better for the aesthetics. One final thing, the shed shown in the pictures is nothing like the colour of the one I received. The pictures show a light natural looking wood, but mine is darker and more red.
