Stunning!

I was nearly put off buying this wallpaper after reading other reviews and that would have been a massive mistake. It is no more difficult to hang than any other paper I have worked with over the last 30 years. Do what the inset recommends and let the paste soak for 8-10 minutes and it is absolutely fine to put up. You cannot get the overall effect by looking at the paper, it is absolutely stunning when finished. The flowers give different effects in different light and from different angles. I am so pleased with it. Don't be afraid, buy it and be delighted with the effect!!

Looks nice but awful to hang

This wallpaper looks lovely and I am pleased with how the room eventually turned out. However, as with other reviewers, it is a nightmare to hang. Having followed the instructions on the label the first few strips went up fine. The issues came as it started to dry. The paper started to shrink leaving gaps between the drops. The gaps were not even and were as wide as 5mm in places. I ended up having to strip two rolls and re-hung it with a slight overlap. Even having done this one strip has shrunk to reveal the wall. Luckily this will be hidden by a wardrobe.

Turned out nice again

Other reviews may mention this paper is hard to hang but I found that if you soak it for the 8 - 10 minutes recommended, it was pliable enough to manoeuvre round power sockets etc. I was careful and tried to avoid getting paste on the design however, the edges did dry out while I was hanging each piece and I had to reapply paste and some of it squeezed onto the front when I smoothed it down. I wiped off any excess immediately with a damp cloth. I also sized my plaster walls prior to starting - I think its recommended that you use a sealer if you have plasterboard walls. The result is a beautiful elegant wall that reflects light from the flower heads.

Worth the time and effort

I have never read wallpaper reviews before and have no idea why I did for this one, but it nearly stopped me buy it but having found the perfect colour and design I was not going to be deterred! This is not a paper for a new/novice DIY paperer as it is not easy - I have been wallpapering for 35 years in my homes so felt qualified to tackle it. It is a lovely quality paper that goes up well but then starts bubbling and looking awful and it's tempting to take it off and try and re hang at this point but don't - leave well alone as it all dries back to perfectly flat once completely dry. The finished result is well worth the extra effort and worry - be brave and go ahead!

Good paper

After reading all the bad reviews on this paper I was very tempted not to buy it, but am so glad we did. We have had none of the problems listed and the wallpaper is beautiful. We did paste the wall 24hrs before putting the paper up and also didnt soak the paper with to much paste and left it 5-10mins before hanging. Would highly recommend as looks stunning.

I have been decorating for more than 40 years this paper is the worst I have ever worked with, awful to hang it bubbles creases and shrinks. had to remove paper from wall and try again, second attempt the same as before.

As before in previous reviews, this wallpaper is very difficult to hang.

Looks Beautiful - Hard to Hang!

I bought this without reading the reviews and did experience some of the issues as highlighted. The wallpaper did buble when you attempt to hang too quickly and the shrinking did result in one or two strips having to be done again, but once I got a handle on the max time between pasting and hanging it was easy. The wallpaper is lovely once up and I've received lots of compliments on how great it looks! Worth the effort!

Awful to hang

I read the previous review but figured they must have done something wrong. Not so, this wallpaper is horrible to hang. I began by letting it soak for the recommended time and the first length went on fine. On the second length, however, the seam started to shrink back almost immediately and had to be repositioned. On it went across the wall, eventually leaving a 1mm gap between the lengths. I tried not letting it soak and hanging it immediately after pasting, but that resulted in tons of bubbles and creases and that length had to be removed and hung again. I then tried pasting and soaking, and then pasting again before hanging so that there was plently of wet paste on the paper. This seemed to work but overnight it shrank again leaving the same 1mm gap between the lengths. Also the corners came away and curled up, sometimes a good 4 inches up the paper. I have been hanging wallpaper for over 30 years and have never come across this sort of thing before. As it is only in the bedroom and not on constant show I will live with it, but I would not recommend buying this paper.

poor hanger

Nice looking wallpaper but horrible to hang - followed the guidelines to the letter but paper dried out far too fast. Used ready mixed solvite but paper dried within 1 hour and consequently shrunk back to reveal seam gaps - had to restrip 1st wall and start again overlapping seams by 1-2mm so that when they shrunk back they ended up more or less buted. Never had this problem before - hung loads of wallpaper
