Disappointed

The plumber was not able to replace my existing sink with this. I will return it. Would be better to fit into a new work surface?

Not fit for purpose

I'm all for the adage that you get what you pay for but in this case we wanted something cheap and cheerful for our utility room and £30 appeared to be a bargain! Unfortunately the sink was bowed along the edges and therefore didn't sit flush with the worktop along the edges. I mistakenly thought that when I tightened the fixing clamps the sink would pull down flush so I fitted the provided gasket and silicon bead and attempted to tighten the clamps. As other posters have noted, the clamps are very cheap and the screw goes into a plastic fitting, the clamps also don't fit that well into the large round holes in the sink. The result of which means that you can't tighten the clamps sufficiently to pull down the sink flush. In fact I would suspect that many people have had similar problems in the past because the instruction manual has a full page warning not to over-tighten the screws! As you can see from the pics attached, the gap between the sink and worktop varied between being flush and 5mm of gap. If your were doing up a house to rent or sell you may just bead around with silicon and move on but it certainly wouldn't look particularly good and shouldn't be necessary. In your own home this really is unacceptable. I've wasted half a day trying to get this fitted to an acceptable finish before giving up and returning as not fit for purpose. I will buy a more expensive sink.

sink

well made and fits perfectly in unit could do with a splash back tho

The sink its self is a good nice basic sink, but the clips you get with it to hold the sink down are part plastic and part metal so the plastic bit snaps from the metal and they don't give you enough, it would be far better for it to cost a bit more for metal clips but all in all the sink works ok.

Sink fine - worktop clips poor

The sink is fine and relatively straightforward to fit. However the clips to hold the sink to the worktop are poor. Four of the clips broke when trying to tighten them down. The screw goes into a fairly thin plastic rod which cracks. Need something stronger

Utility Sink

An OK product for the price. But it actually needs more retaining clips than supplied to really pull down the flange tightly all round. The product was purchased on order and collect and was missing the fixing pack. Sorted by B&Q and with petrol refund but all time consuming hassle.

That Sinking Feeling

Bought this to replace an existing sink when replacing worktops and to match existing pipework. Initial impression was ok but fixing clips are fixed positions and hard to line up with base woodwork, one end was impossible to fit any due to a clash with cupboard sides underneath. Others needed longer screws. The main problem in use is that the bowl has too much bow in the bottom and everything slides down into the drain hole, you can't sit anything in the bottom to fill under the mixer tap outlet as it slides away. You only discover this when it's all installed and plumbed in. I don't know how long this will stay before I get fed up with it and it gets flung out for a better one, it certainly won't last the 22 years the last one did ! (I better hang on to the spare length of worktop for when that happens as no doubt the cut-out won't match up !)

Cheap and cheerful. Small selection of taps to fit

Bought this sink for my new kitchen but my exsisting taps did not fit. Inexpensive sink for those wanting a good shiny good looking sink.

quality

The fixing clips that come with this product are very weak & ill fitting advise you wear some hand protection to avoid cuts etc.
