Junk - do not buy
Brought this 12 months ago. Absolute rubbish. Never worked correctly. The latch mechanism kept getting internally caught on the metal casing causing metal slivers to be ejected and the mechanism to periodically jam. The door would not close without using the handle so it would band and swing back out instead. AND the door plate is bigger that most other mortice latches. You'd think these would all be standard. I replaced it with a Yale lock today after losing my patience. This is an example of B&Q going for the lowest cost Chinese sourced rubbish for own brand alternatives that so does not do the job it is supposed to to. DO NOT BUY - EVER!!

Low quality
The satin finish (badly plated) peels off after three test opening/closing movement of door, the mechanism inside is weak and does not ‘spring’ out when handle is used. Got the Yale ones at 5.20 GBP each. Much better quality and feel.

More Chinese rubbish from B&Q
Lasted 3 months before it locked solid. Ok so it’s cheap but actually it was the only one available in my local store because you seem intent on forcing our quality brands for own brand rubbish.

POOR QUALITY PRODUCT... DO NOT BUY!!!!
I brought this product fitted it and within one day found that the mechanism the bar went though that opens the catch would only move 2mm, hence not allowing the door to shut properly, I dismantled it went back to the shop got it replaced and had the same problem. After my third visit I decided to buy the Yale version of which was a little more expensive but works perfectly...... The moral of this story don't buy this product because it's cheep as in the long run you will save precious time and petrol... buy the Yale...!!!

Cheap & flimsy. AWFUL
Bought one of these and fitted that evening but the mechanism broke on first turn! So took it back next day, exchanged and the same happened again! Won’t be bothering with another of these and will try a Yale. Cheap rubbish!

Not fit for purpos
Doesn't fit into the stated 22mm hole and the spindle does not fit through the latch so all in all not a great product.

Rubbish product
Bought 5 of these but the handle spindle wouldn't pass through the square hole. Got some more on line and they were fine. B & Q own brand stuff is absolute garbage.

Wrong instructions
Beware! the instructions say drill a 22 mm hole for the barrel. If you do the barrel of the B & Q latch does not fit. The hole need to be at least 24 mm in diameter. It is virtually impossible to increase the size of the hole with a larger Flat Wood Drill Bit. The Diall tubular latch will fit in a 22 mm hole.

Lock
Difficult to get excited about a lock from B&Q. It does it job. Nuff said

Good product
Didn't have to travel far. Found it without any trouble. Matched what I took as a sample. Job done. Thanks
