It's a square spindle bar
The handle on one of our external doors was drooping, caused by wear on the spindle bar. Swapped it for one of these and the handle now no longer droops. I have no idea how long this one will last before it also wears, but when it does I have a spare as the pack contains 2! You may be able to buy for a few pence cheaper on fleabay, but I wanted to fix this today as I had a couple of spare of hours and did not want to wait for delivery sometime in the next week!

Not All spindles are the same size
I bought this product as need to replace interior handles. I could not use the old spindles as the new handles would not depress fully to open. I was advised by B&Q personnel that the handles should work as all spindles are the same size. I then purchased new spindles thinking the old ones were the problem... They don't fit slightly too large.. So irritating.
