Installation is not recommended as a DIY or single person task. In addition to this giving rise to the potentially increased risk of product damage and/or incorrect installation, it should also be noted that some marble components can be very heavy and will require two people to lift/handle. Caution should always be exercised if attempting to lift heavy or awkward objects. Always ensure the wall and floor have sufficient load bearing capabilities to allow the surround to be installed safely and securely. The foundation must be sufficient to support the entire weight of the surround.

This product is heavy. Failure to install this product securely and in accordance with these instructions could lead to a serious or fatal injury!

Wall fixings (i.e. screws/wall plugs etc) are not supplied as these are crucially dependant upon the type of wall and surface the surround is going to be fixed to. The installer is therefore responsible for ensuring that suitable fittings are used according to the particular model to be installed as well as individual fitting situations and environments.

At the final fix stage, the mantel shelf must be secured to the wall surface using the wall ‘keyhole’ bracket supplied. In preparation for this, firstly fix the keyhole bracket centrally on the wooden block on the underside of the shelf using the screws provided

In order to avoid overheating do not cover the heater. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to circuit that is regularly switched on and off by utility. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Use the heater in a well-ventilated area. Do not insert or allow objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust openings in any manner. If the fire is to be placed in front of an existing chimney opening and there is any risk of chimney debris falling down onto the fire or drafts from the chimney it is recommended that the flue or opening is sealed off with non-combustible non-fibrous insulation materials. Do not place into an existing fireplace that is prone to dampness. Should it be necessary to cap and seal the chimney to prevent personal injury, a professional should be hired to do the work

• This heater must be used on an AC supply only and the voltage marked on the heater must correspond to the supply voltage. • Do not switch the appliance on until it is properly installed as described in this manual. • The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
