This 13A single switched outdoor power socket from British General is IP66 Rated and designed to protect against water and dust ingress in the most arduous of conditions. Made with a robust, high impact UV stable housing, multiple gland entry positions , quick wire entry, and an ergonomic design, this socket also has an LED indicator that can be seen through the hinged see-through cover which acts as an enclosure for the socket.

It's OK
It's OK, but that's as far as it goes. The socket holes (where you put the plug into) are off centre due to the position of the switch so if you have a plug with a thicker cable or a cable protecter you'll need to bend the flex to be able to line it up with the cable outlet in the cover. It is also very difficult to lock the cover when using a heavy duty cable

Socket is offset from the cable run.
Easy to connect and then attache to the wall. Frustrating that the socket is offset from the cable run which means it is very difficult to lock the cover when using a heavy duty cable. Simple design flaw but makes it far more difficult to use.

Does the job
Exactly what we needed. Easy enough for my partner to install (he does have a fair bit of electrical knowledge) No issues with weather damage or product quality

Weak plastic hinge
Weak plastic hinge broke after 4 uses. Real shame because its a good looking product and everything else was perfect Only purchased in June 2022. Very disappointing. Returned product to branch for a refund
