This Product is Great & Easy to Install
This outdoor smart socket is great and it's controlled by apps (switch on/off the power supply). It's easy to use and install.

Not so smart!
I bought this last week and had it fitted. Spent hours and hours to connect to my phone and internet, with no success. Totally useless. I now have an upgraded socket that I did not need to replace as I am unable to use the smart feature to programme switch lights on and off at specific times of the day. Do not buy!

Absolutely rubbish
Do not buy as you will spend a life time trying to connect it to your network with no success. I have multiple smart devices but this is definitely not smart!!!!

Great Product
This product, together with a single outdoor socket, were bought to wire up an outdoor water feature. It was easy to connect, is robust and definitely water proof.

Don't buy this socket
This socket needs 2.4Ghz WiFi network and will not work Wifi networks with both 2.4 and 5Gjz networks. Most of the routers provided by Irish Isps have both and doesn't allow to split between 2.4 and 5 GHz networks. I tried connecting using the manual AP mode, but the led indicator lights way too feable to even understand if the socket has power or not, let alone to see if it has entered confirmation mode. I have an expensive dump socket sitting on my front yard now. Do yourself a favour and don't buy this thing.

Good but
It works very well once it's set up. As another review noted, you cannot use a 5Ghz or a dual band wifi network to set it up. I had to disable the 5Ghz out of my dual band wifi and then configure the socket through the app. After setup though, I could enable the 5Ghz again and it worked fine. Also the LED power indicators are not very bright. 4 stars though because it works well once configured - no problems hooking it to Google Home & Alexa. Looks smart, feels solid.

Doesn’t connect to wifi
Great idea in theory but it won’t connect to Wi-Fi networks with both 2Ghz and 5Ghz active unless you split the frequencies onto separate SSIDs. My router can’t do that do this won’t work. Returning for refund
