Ultimately you need to decide which is worse between noise or unbearable heat if you're thinking of buying this unit. It has two speeds of which the lower setting just about allows a conversation. The lower setting creates a noise slightly louder than the wall mounted extractor hood above my Rangemaster cooker. Maximum setting is a bit like an aircraft taking off! The finish quality is very nice with matt black casing and chrome coloured blades. The breeze this unit creates even on maximum is not overly harsh and feels comfortable which unfortunately cannot be said of the noise. There are two wheels at one end which means moving is effortless. The power cord is a bit on the short side.
