mixed feelings
I bought this for an outside gate. the first time I fitted one it must have been "overwound" as the spring seperated from the holders and I could not replace it so had to replace the whole unit. Fitting was not too difficult but understanding the instructions re top & bottom and left & right was a bit confusing. once fitted and wound up it seemed to work but was strong encough to close the gat "to" but not latch it. - Satisfactory rather than good.

Utterly useless
Bought one of these for our wooden side gate (planks with 5-7 cm gap between). After a tricky installation that saw one of the pins ping about 10m from the gate, it was installed. Take heed of the instructions recommending eye protection! Initially, all was good and it was able to close the gate and even hold it closed against a light breeze. However, after being installed for several weeks, it's unable to close the gate even if there's no wind to fight against. I appreciate it's cheap but it is only a couple of end plates and a spring so not exactly hi-tech. I'll be looking for another product that can actually do the job

Great safety feature
Works fantastic on our outside gate. Whenever we are moving anything from our garden our gate swings shut and gives us peace of mind knowing the little one or dog can’t get out if we had forgotten to close the gate.

Its a gate spring!
Quite sturdy ,easy to fit,does the job its suppose to do. Gate does spring back quickly,hoping it will weather a little so theres not so much spring back......but does the job.........................

closes the gate well.
I fit this to my garden gate 2 weeks ago and up to now it has worked perfectly fine. The installation of this is very easy requiring just 4 screws to be screwed in (2 in the gate and 2 in the post) and off you go....... there is no measuring involved it really couldn't be easier. The spring is very flexible but strong enough to pull the gate back to engage the gate latch. all in all its a great little piece of kit.

Works well
We are using this for a small garden gate that kids keep leaving open. It was super easy to fit and works really well. Strong enough to pull the gate closed and latch. No signs of any rust etc and looks to be good quality.

Great little strong powerful gate spring
This is a great little product enabling us to automatically close our side gate. Simple packaging with 4x screws two each end of the product. Easy to fix to the door would highly recommend especially for us to enclose the side of the house especially during windy periods.

There’s not much to say about the Blooma - Blooma Black Steel Gate Spring (L)204Mm but its of really high quality. It’s a bit difficult to fit in but that may be down to my lack of experience but otherwise it works great.
