Bosch reliability? Absolute expensive joke.
Mower lasted 13 months before bearings siezed and motor burnt out after 10 to 12 hours light use..Can’t find receipt so learned the expensive lesson to always read customer reviews..My mate bought a smaller Bosch mower and it died the same way..You have been warned…Stay well away!!!

Lasted 9 months
I bought one of these in May 21. Used it less than 10 times last year. Tried to do my first cut this year today and it worked for about 10 minutes and the the motor packed in - seems to be quite common. Previous Bosch worked for years, but this is not the same quality. Avoid like the Covid virus - I have a smallish garden and I could have employed a gardener for the £20 per cut this has cost me.

Not as good as old Rotak
Out of the box, short cable . A large cutter like this is chosen for larger lawns, like mine! This ,10m cable is short enough to make sure I must now buy an extension cable. Really annoyed. Reasonable cut, but heavy and more difficult to manoeuvre. Height adjuster good. Grass box ok. I note that the price has increased from 140 to 185 in less than a year! Owned for 10 months. Motor has just burned out. Looks like Bosch reliability is going in the wrong direction.

Avoid!
I should have took notice of the many poor build quality reviews! I bought mine from B&Q today, unboxed it and then as per the instructions attempted to screw the handle frame together. One side was ok, on the other side however despite fiddling around for 30mins the bolt wouldn't screw into the nut in the frame. Looks like there's an issue with the thread on the nut. The faulty nut eventually fell out of the frame and on to the floor.

Build quality is rather poor
I bought this mower two weeks ago and have used it twice. If I'd left a review after the first use, I would probably have it given it 5 stars. However, on the second occasion, I noticed that the clever height adjustment mechanism was now very reticient to operate - requiring a foot and both hands. When I finally got mowing, I caught the roller thing on the edge of a 'sleeper' and snapped a huge piece off the bottom of the mower - so no more stripes for me. While I was inspecting that damage, I found a sizeable chunk out of the cutting blade (I normally change blades every couple of years, not every couple of weeks - it looks quite 'dainty'!) This mower is twice the weight of my previous Flymo and is not very maneuverable, when it comes to changing direction. The grass box decants some of its contents, back onto the lawn, when you remove it. I think it may be going back...

Don’t buy
Have had for less than a year with normal use & motor has seized/smoking.Lost receipt(moved house) & so unable to return to B&Q(did ask).Bought petrol McAllister so will see how it goes.

Not a patch on our previous Bosch mower
Our previous Bosch lawnmower died after 11 years so automatically bought this one as it looked like an updated version. The cable is half the length and we had to use an extension lead and the minimum cutting height is too high and lawn now has to be cut at least twice a week! It does not stand up at all to its predecessor and we will be returning it.

This product isn't the best for one reason.
Having bought this product last year, we expected it to last for at least the next 3-4 years. Despite that, this weekend the height adjuster, crucial to how much the grass is cut, broke, leading to an unstable cut as the machine wobbled up and down. Having opened it up, the grey button's locking mechanism had broken, having been made out of flimsy plastic, this wouldn't have lasted and was definitely designed as planned obsolesce. My advice is not to buy this machine since the replacement part is always out of stock & the hassle and the worry is to great for the average consumer. We ended up drilling 3 holes into the mechanism to lock it at our desired height using screws and bolts. TLSS: This machine has a great cut, but you should buy a more expensive or alternative machine in order to avoid this faulty mechanism that others have faced as well.

Do not buy this product
I guarantee that this is a shoddy product. Part number 46/3 grey button has a design issue that means it snaps once its been pressed on too many times leading to the height mechanism completely failing, this is planned obsolesce at its worst and although you could replace the part, it was of course "out of stock" leading to you either having to go back to the shop and return it... oh wait that was 5 months ago.... or wait in a stuffy queue for 2 hours during a pandemic. Don't be fooled by B&Q trying to sell this for 189£, having bought it for 270£ little over a year ago this is them trying to shift dodgy stock. AT NO COST should you buy this product, we ended up getting 3 screws and locking the mechanism by tearing it apart. Bosch's quality has gone as far upside down as the S.S Poseidon during that fateful voyage.

Very good except the blade height adjustment
Good mower except it has to be returned. The height adjustment does not work. Very annoyed. Because of the virus situation l am stuck with it Having to use it on one setting until it can be collected.
