Awesome stuff
Used this a few times, and will continue to use. Just don't over use it

Not suitable for my DIY usage
I am (slowly) building a brick wall of about 12 linear metres length. My method involves using mortar plasticiser mixed in with the gauging water. I make up 10 litre batches of gauging water and my current plasticiser requires 125 ml to 10 litres water and this works well for me, as I know I am using the correct amount of plasticiser. The Bostik plasticiser does not give figures for this method of usage and when I rang Bostik's tech support, they informed me that their plasticiser is not intended to be used this way, hence no figures being given on the bottle. The only way their product can be used is to add the correct amount of plasticiser to the mix, based on the weight of cement being used. Now for trade users this may well work fine, as they use large quantities of cement. For the casual, non-trade user this method is completely impractical. Bostik recommend the use of 85-90 ml per 25kg bag of cement. I probably use less than half a kilo of cement per mix. This means I need to measure out 1.7 - 1.8 ml of plasticiser per mix, which is clearly ridiculous. I also use hydrated lime in my mix, and the small print says that Bostik's plasticiser is incompatible with lime-based mixes. This means a double fail for me. So, if you're a small volume user like me, I'd steer well clear of this product and instead buy some 'conventional' plasticiser that can be made up into working solution. I'd also question the wisdom of B&Q stocking this product as it is clearly for trade/professional use and not aimed at the DIY market. At least they should stock a conventional alternative.

Bostik Mortar Plasticiser
Excellent product made the mortar very manageable to use

Smooth mortar
Great product - makes lovely mortar that was so easy to work with it made even my bricklaying look professional. Would like to see it in smaller quantities though as I'll never get through a whole bottle. As other reviewer said, mixing ratios are stated on the label, you just have to hunt for the English section.

Works as it should
If you separate the labels on the back of the container, all the instructions are there. Does the job well

No instructions
Cannot fully rate this product as I have not used yet due to there being no instructions on how to use e.g. the quantity to add to the mortar mix.
