Virtually useless. Spring far too weak.
Bought this as a replacement for a nearly 30 year old similar but worn out catch on door between kitchen and living room. This new catch is so weak the door opens every time the door at the other end of the room is opened. I doubt it would work properly even on a small cupboard door. I have now bought another larger, stronger catch. Nuisance as I have had to enlarge hole in door and locally repaint instead of (the hoped for) just unscrewing old and screwing on new. Disapointed. Don't think I have ever given anything only one star before - but I wish I could give this zero.
