Badly stored in store
The oak beading as a product is ok, unfortunately due to the way it’s stored in vertical racks I couldn’t find any that weren’t overly bent this obviously requires more attention when used than would be necessary if it was straight. The oak beading is also pretty expensive for what it is.

Just right for the job
Excellent piece of oak from which I made a threshold to fit between the tiles and a fitted carpet in my hall.

So so, nice but a little warped.
It's OK, reasonable price I think. Of course it is warmed quite badly in places. Will try and attach a photo, but that said... I find that with nearly all timber I buy. No idea what you are supposed to do about this!!

Warped wood
Went to the store to pick up some oak, but it was all literally warped. Not sure B&Q know or care about how to stock wood so it doesn't warp, unfortunately

Wasn’t expecting to find hardwood here!
Having phoned around various timber yards with no joy, I was surprised to see that B&Q sold this! with any strip wood, you need to choose your piece wisely as many were warped, twisted or split, but I got a few nice pieces to finish off my bannisters to go under the base rail.
