Repeat purchace
We have had these handle for a couple years on our internal doors, so we had no hesitation in ordering an additional handle of the same design for our latest project. They have proved to be stylish and durable, we would recommend them.

latch mechanism falls to pieces locks door!
the latch mechanism somehow fell into pieces where it accepts the square bar and left the door locked shut as there wasn't a mechanism left to pull the latch to the open position I had to remove the outer handle and fish around for a way to open the latch with the bar removed to gain entry, luckily my other half wasn't home alone when she was locked in the room. not good quality latch but the handles look and feel nice however not fit for purpose if it falls to pieces and locks the door shut! buyer beware make sure you have a phone with you just incase handle breaks

Not fit for purpose
No instructions except for an illustration on the back that shows fixings that do not correspond with the holes on the product. After drilling holes right through my beautiful solid wood doors, causing damage that I did anticipate, I realised that fitting the special screws as per the diagram was impossible. I then had to find screws in my toolbox to fit the handles in the traditional way. What an absolute pain in the backside! B&Q, you should be ashamed to have this ridiculous product in your stores.

I wouldn't buy this again
I also had difficulty fitting this door handle as the screws need to go through where a latch is situated. Even though this is shown to be suitable for a door with a latch it is not. Reading other reviews I see that the company has not addressed this nor its instructions.

Poor customer care
I bought this product last week. Went to fit it and because of the layout of the screw holes and the already in situ latch plate I am unable to do so. This is despite this apparently being possible as shown by the picture on the box. A few pictures on the box by the way is all you get as far as fitting instructions goes. I contacted B&Q via FB as I had read reviews by this point. They didn't seem to care and haven't been able to help. I travelled 10 miles to buy this unsuitable product, not fit for purpose and misleading. So why am I able to buy a product that is misleading 3 years after someone else had the same problem?
