Failed after less than a year
I bought this product about a year ago and the handle failed after less than 1 year on the outside of a front door. The handle just snapped when I turned it. I have bought another one so as to match the rest of the doors but now hope this one will last longer. As a side issue the packaging is unnecessary for an iron handle set to need a screwdriver to remove from the cardboard box. It's not like it is fragile or valuable

Do not buy this product.
The packaging is faulty meaning you will need a full tool kit and plenty of time and patience to remove the plastic packaging. As this was stated in a previous review it’s clear B&Q have not addressed the issue.

Packaging so poor that I couldn't use the product
BUYER BEWARE! Whilst there is nothing wrong with this door handle, it could take you 3 trips to the store to find one that you can unpack. This product is bizarrely over-packaged, with maybe 3 times as many packaging components as there are elements to the handles. The handles are fixed to the cardboard with 12 separate pieces of plastic some of which are so tight fitting that you will require a full tool kit to try to unpack them. I used 2x pliers, 2x screwdrivers, full spanner set, scissors, pliers, pincers, 2x drill bits....you get the idea. And even so, I had to return to store -twice - because I couldn’t remove plastic inserts from the socket. In the end the helpful staff in store helped me, but this was on the third pack. Overall, it took me close to 2 hours just to start the job of fitting the handles. The suppliers know that this is a problem, they have even put a sticker inside the back of pack saying that you’ll need a screwdriver to remove the plastic inserts, but this is no more than a token effort to address one of the worst designed pieces of packaging I’ve ever come across. Go back to basics on this one, and think of your customers.
