bad
Bought a few weeks ago. The toilet lid will not stay in place, have had to adjust several times. Every time i lift the lid up or down it comes off. Have now removed the lid altogether, will have to buy a new toilet seat.

Don't bother
Total rubbish hinge falls apart daily they are far to flimsy. It's going in the bin today!! In my opinion the are a waste of the energy they use to make them.

Does the job
Bought this to replace a 25 year old seat! Extremely simple to fit, unpacked & fitted within 5 mins. Didn't need to use any tools, hand-tightened the screws which remain nice & tight a week on (And I'm a girl!) Unlike my previous seat, this one doesn't seem to be freezing in the middle of the night! I managed to break the original after years of standing on the lid to reach a window, the new one I don't think would be able to handle that, but, is perfect for it's intended use. At this price (under a tenner), happy to change the seat for a different colour whenever I feel like it. Would recommend.

Good Durability
I bought 2 of these about 12 years ago: the one in occasional use looks like new: the one in regular use still looks almost new, although it has developed a small crack in one foot under the seat, but it still has loads of usage left. I estimate it has been used about 35,000 times! That's pretty good durability. I have just bought another one to replace the regularly used one, and I will keep the regularly used one as a spare. It is worth noting that the new seat now has more robust feet under the seat, so I'm wondering if this new one will last 15 years or more! Summary: A good product which is easy to keep spotlessly clean and looking like new, and which I would be happy to recommend; in fact I did just that in store today to a gent who was closely examining toilet seats at the same time I was.
