Poor Quality for the Cost

Like a number of the other reviewers I had this seat fitted for less than three months before the chrome blistered and then started flaking. It was then less than a year after fitting and one of the hinges snapped. Unfortunately I hadn't fitted straight away so it was just out of warranty. Wish I had taken it back as soon as the chrome blistered a little bit. The only good point is the wood has stayed looking good so I will by a set of hinges from elsewhere and refit. No wonder the product has been withdrawn / no longer available hopefully quality issue are being sorted.

Hinges have corroded and snapped

I bought this about a year ago. To start with, I was very pleased as it looked good and fitted well. However, after just a few weeks, the metal started to corrode and was very difficult to clean. Now it has napped all the way through. Rubbish, what a waste of money!

very poor durability

Bought 7 months ago, hinge mechanism now failed, snapped peg in "soft close mechanism". All hinge chrome works corroding badly with plating coming off. Waste of money. Buy something else.

Good soft close seat

I bought this about 5 months ago & really struggled to get it fitted correctly. My 75 year old dad sorted it in 10 minutes & it hasn't moved since. Good looking & does the job it should.

Please sort out this product!

Read the reviews and buy something else. Surely anyone marketing a toilet seat would test its durability first? I have just returned my second of these. A very good looking wooden seat totally spoilt by hinges that disintegrate within a year. Dreadful!

Hinges failed

I bought this to replace an oak seat with a snapped hinge. This time I kept the receipt - but the hinges failed after 23 months. The seat looks beautiful (good oak) but no longer soft closes!

Toilet seat

It beats sitting on cold loo with no seat! A great piece of engineering.

£120 down the loo

I bought 3 of these toilet seats thinking they would be quality. All three have now failed. The hinge system is of very poor quality. I should have just flushed the £120 down the loo and saved myself a lot of time and effort.

Looks nice......

Closed softly on attachment to the loo for 2 -5 uses. Now the lid closes slowly to a bang. Disappointing in the extreme for the price.
