Excellent Product
Bought one some months ago-was delighted with looks and easy fit (all from above seat) so I bought two more to complete the house. Good value and works a treat.

Very poor quality fittings
The toilet seat itself seems perfectly OK - only installed it yesterday, so I can't comment on how long it will last; however the supplied fixings are extremely poor. Firstly the diameter of both plastic inserts are too large to fit in the mounting holes of many popular toilets. The mounting holes in my loo are 13mm in diameter and there is no way the solid plastic fixings supplied with the seat will fit into them. Secondly although the supporting screw is robust enough, it screws directly into the plastic insert (i.e. no captive metal nut) - a really cheap and nasty arrangement which is bound to fail, resulting in a toilet seat that is not fixed securely. Such a pity that for the sake of saving a few pence the whole product is compromised. In the end I had to resort to buying better quality fixings from elsewhere as B&Q unfortunately don't sell anything suitable.

Works well
Good quality product, glad to find seat to match the coloured sanitaryware many of us still have and like (nowadays it's white or nothing). The fixing plugs supplied were too large in diameter to fit through holes in WC, so had to find some stainless steel and rubber washers to use with bolts supplied. Grey colour a bit darker than both WC and the seat displayed in shop. But at end of day, looks and works well.

fittings are poor quality
From the day I attached my seat to the toilet it has not been secure.. The movement got progressively worse and within a couple of months was moving every time the toilet was used. Tightening it made no difference.I tried to remove the fittings in order to see if I could buy fittings that worked, the poor quality of the plastic screw prevented this - it began to disintegrate, but I still could not remove it. (Fortunately we have two toilets) When I do manage to remove the seat I shall replace it - but I shall NOT be buying it from B&Q.

It does what it says on the box. Great idea that you can take it off to clean by pressing a button on the back.

Don't just Don't!!!!
What a palava!! Easy to fit?? No! Can only position during g fitting but seat needs to be attached, then as soon as you take the seat off to tighten the screws it all moves! And as for the hinges, we bought this because the old seat was broken and moving about however it moved less than this did brand new!!!! Serious design gault with the hinges that as soon as any force is applied they pop up and start to move! Really disappointed with this seat.

Not Soft Close - Only Creak and Judder!
Do not buy this seat if you are looking for a soft close toilet seat. It isn't particularly easy to fit as you cannot adjust once fitted, only during fitting, and it then creaks and judders shut. It will be going back for a refund. Maybe to be expected as it was one of the cheaper ones!
