Not an alternative to traditional shelving.
These may look good and they sound great, easy to put up etc. Trouble is they don't work. No matter how well the bracket is fixed to the wall the two small grub screws that fix the shelf on come loose and the shelf tilts downwards. Don't put anything precious on these, I've fitted additional brackets underneath. The longer lengths must be even worse.

Poor quality product
The rod or hidden bracket which inserts into the shelf to hold it onto the wall, only goes halfway into the shelf, and not the full depth. It therefore limits the strength of the shelf. We chose this as there was limited choice for a cream shelf. Unfortunately the shelf is already bowing (after 2 weeks), even though it is correctly fitted and we haven't exceeded the weight limit (we've weighed the contents of the shelf). We need an additional bracket to stop it falling off the wall. Wouldn't buy again.

nice colour
I got two floating shelves, unfortunately both had some damage . I kept them as I could hide the damage and too much bother to take them back
