Fritillaria imperialis Aurora Flower bulb
Product details
Product information
Crown imperial fritillaries are one of the most impressive sights in the spring garden. The towering stems are topped with regal crowns of vibrant orange, bell-shaped flowers. Plant them dotted through borders, or in groups for an impressive display
- Planting location: Suitable for planting in containers, flower beds or in grass.
- Soil moisture: Moist & well drained
- Flowering period: April-May, Planting period: Aug-Dec
- Plant in a sunny spot. For best results, mix in a good amount of compost and some bonemeal into the planting hole, adding gravel to the bottom of the hole to ensure drainage. On heavy clay soils, it is better to plant them in large containers. In the growing season, water plants in containers during dry spells. Mulch with well-rotted compost once the shoots start to emerge in spring and feed fortnightly with a high potash liquid feed during the growing season. Allow foliage to die down naturally.

Features and benefits
- Adds Height to Spring Displays
- Our bulbs are guaranteed to flower in their first season.
- These plants support pollinating insects such as bees, butterflies, moths and hoverflies. These insects can gather essential nutrients from the pollen in these plants, fertilising flowers as they do so. Pollination is essential for many plants to reproduce.

Bought at the end of the season.
I bought 3 packs of these last month after they had been reduced because of the end of the season I have just given 4 stars because as yet they haven't had chance to grow and flower, so I have not had chance to see how the plant does.
