Check the Arm Length You Require!
Good, reasonably priced product but even though the length of the 'arm' is able to be adjusted I found it was much too long for the cistern I was fitting it into. (I notice that this fact has been mentioned in other reviews of this product.) Once cut down to size (and the holes for the cotter pins re-drilled) it was fine, but why B&Q don't sell these with shorter 'arms' I don't understand. So - a touch inconvenient, but it turned out OK in the end.

Does what I should do...
Bought it as a replacement for a different make of valve, and works perfect... The ball swivels, and the arm is extendable, so can fit different type of tank... Excellent value for money too....

I'm not the best diy person but this was really easy to fit and the price was good

Did not fit my cistern
I could not get this valve to fit my cistern because the float is connected at the side which made the assembly too wide. Even with the available adjustments and the smallest float stocked by B and Q, I could not avoid the float rubbing against the side of the cistern. The friction prevented the valve from closing properly so I was not prepared to risk using it. Please note that if you fit and test the valve in your cistern you may not be able to return it for a refund because of health and safety regulations.

Beware not as universal as it seems.
I bought this because I thought it was a universal fit. With a lot of fiddling it eventually worked although it does take quite a time to shut off.

Easy to fit
Cistern overflow was forever dripping. Old valve was 20 years old. New valve was easy to fit and solved the problem.

Simple job
We had a leak from the bottom seal and I got a call saying it was much worse. Stopped at B & Q on my way home from work. Picked this item, fitted in no time. No leaks..happy customer.

adjustable arm too long
the arm is too long which means the float catches on the inside and does not rise without getting stuck. You do not supply shorter arms or stock smaller floats so i have had to saw a piece off

Easy to install
I bought this a month ago and it took minutes to install and it's still doing the job well. If you need this type of ball cock fill valve. Can highly recommend this one.
