Best utility knife I’ve owned
Most knives I’ve used last less than 6 months. I’ve been using one of these for over 2 years now and it’s still going strong. Fewer moving parts means it’s more durable. And whoever needs instructions for how to loosen a thumb screw shouldn’t be using a knife of any kind.

Great knife
DON'T LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. It's a knife.. it's not hard to use and doesn't need instructions. You turn the screw to the left to open it and put extra blades under the spring inside. It closes just fine with about 5 blades stored in the handle. My co-workers and I use these for roofing and we love them. Best fixed blade utility knife ive ever had.

Can't open... no instructions...
I can't find anything online to show me how to open this thing... no youtube tuttorials nothing... I'm going to call the number to see if someone ca help me out... I needed a blade before I bought this thing... and now I'm going to waste an hour of my day trying to open it? Bad product, no instructions on opening.

Great strength
I am a roofer, i break utility knives all the time. All the instant change knives break. This one will not break.

What were they thinking?
Ditto the 3 negative reviews of this knife. I cannot believe that Dewalt would put their name on this thing. No instructions, found some clip and a spring inside that would easily fall down & get lost if you were working, say, up on a roof. Like the other reviewers said, they were going to scrap it. That's exactly what I am going to do with it. Going into the metal recycling stream....

Largely useless
Wish I had read the previous 2 reviews before buying this. I echo the 2 previous observations: lack of instructions, unstable blade and add my own... Even when I finally opened the unit (it's not at all easy for older hands), the spare blades prevented re-closing. I was too much attracted by the Made in USA sticker, which doesn't mean it actually works. Ended up discarding the knife.

blood bath
30yrs as a certified hard surface flooring installer. The knife is defective when you use to much downward force the knife opens and the back half of the blade exits the knife cutting off your finger.DO NOT BUY THIS.

Horrible! No instructions on how to open or use!
No idea on how to open and use this product. Super confusing with zero instructions. Nearly busted my hand open trying to figure out how to get it to work. Unreal! Don't buy!

Dangerous
I bought one of these to cut some sheets of drywall when your right in the middle of a cut the blade tends to pop out causing severe cuts to the hand. Happened to a co-worker then me then I threw it in the trash. Stick with a Stanley razor knife.
