Total rubbish.

It managed to last 3 recharges. Now it’s totally useless but it’s now out of warranty

safetytech - 1 / 5 - 09/03/2017

Fails to recharge after 3 or 4 times

Bought this 6 months ago and have used intermittently but each recharge takes longer and each time the battery life gets shorter. After 4 recharges even after 20 hrs light is dim for only a few seconds then goes off but internals wiring get very hot. As mentioned by other an LED to know when its charging would be useful. Cheap and nasty

Definately not heavy duty.

Worked OK until I dropped it. Tried to change the halogen bulb, had to order on line as H8 6v 35W not available in the shop. Very tricky to replace, but torch didn't work anyway. Not recommended.

Powerful at first but now useless

Well, I thought it was great to have such a powerful torch when I got this. But right from the start it's not held its charge well. So often, when I wanted to use it there was no power. I made sure I recharged regularly, but it just got worse and worse and now it doesn't recharge at all. It hasn't been heavily used and looks like new, but actually is now totally useless. I'll buy better quality next time.

Poor value

After a couple of months torch failed to hold charge. So even though unit was fully charged I would only get approx. 5 mins of illumination. Torch now in dustbin.

A great torch for 20 seconds

This torch needs a 12 hour charge for approximately 10 to 20 seconds of use. Each time I tried to use the torch no charge, so recharged then decided to Test it and as stated good for 20 seconds. Do Not Buy.

DIALL 1 MILLION CANDLE POWER SPOTLIGHT.

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS, AND PURCHASED ANOTHER ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO, AS EMERGENCY LIGHTING IN MY HOME, IN CASE OF FIRE OR POWER CUTS. AFTER EXTENSIVE SHOPPING AROUND ON THE INTERNET, B@Q WERE THE OBVIOUS CHOICE, BECAUSE OF THE GREAT PRICE OF £10-00P. and the recharger and extra accesories supplied with the torch. SO A DEFINITE GOOD BUY.

Cullybaz - 1 / 5 - 30/06/2015

Useless.

As with other the other reviews I found that the lamp only worked for a few minutes on full intensity & the battery would not hold its charge for more than a week. In frustration I DID turn on the unit whilst charging forgetting that this would 'damage the unit'. For damage read 'destroy'. It would have been helpful to have a printed highlighted warning about this by the 'on/off' switch instead of along the rim of the lens!

Needs modding.

First off, look on the box for the date code, some have been sitting for up to two years. Secondly change bulb for a 25 watt one, this results in less voltage sag from battery under load and a whiter light and longer runtime Ohms law 6volts at 35watts=5.8amp load, 6volts at 25watts=4.1amp load.

Big disappointment

I bought my first one and it was missing the charger, so I exchanged it for one that had all the bits. Having charged it fully, the next day it worked fine, so I thought it was OK. Then after a few days maybe 5/6 I tried it and it was dim. Ah I thought maybe the battery needs time to work and may be better on a few recharges. Next day it was dead so I recharged it. Exactly the same thing happened and now I intend to go back to the store to explain that the battery clearly does not hold its charge. Problem is I cannot find my receipt so no doubt I will have a battle on!
