DO NOT BUY
The exterior packaging does not say it CANNOT be used with extension cables so utterly useless to use with hedge trimmers or electric mowers - the very items an RCD is needed for. The only info is INSIDE the plastic packaging. Additionally the instructions for use on the label do NOT correspond to those in the enclosed leaflet which also are mis-leading and contradictory. Overall a safety hazard rather than a safety aid.

Confusing
After opening packaging the info given says not for use with extension reels, which defeats the object of me buying one to use on mower extension reel. Plus the Red light is nigh invisible , waste of money.

Warning possible electrical issue
I bought this product and followed instructions and been using for 3 months. Went to use appliance and could see it wasn’t working. Went to pull out plug and it had melted and fused to my socket. Shocked as basically I have had an electrical fire and would have expected the plug to do its job and prevent this.

Melted after 3 months and did not trip!
Bought this in good faith to protect etc. Used as described. Melted around one pin of the plug and did not trip! I only realised after trying to unplug the appliance.

Our last one died and it's amazing how worried you are without one on the pond pump so had to get another asap. Confident now

It just works.
The only real problem I had with this device was breaking into the blister pack! Once I had got it out and plugged it in, I found the reset button appeared not to work. Eventually, I tried switching on the power to the socket and it worked! This may appear blindingly obvious but, in my defence, the old (20+ years) device it was replacing had to be removed from the socket to gain access to its reset button. I have had no problems at all in using it.

Good product, but only available in black
Very happy with this product, I use it in the lounge for an extension lead into the garden, but why only available in black, would definately look better in white.
