Retractive light switch
Despite the laughable reviews below. Which are clearly from DIYers purchasing product not trade pros. It’s exactly as advertised a retractive switch works perfectly to boost the ventilation system.

I’ve had 6 in 8 years
Works well until it breaks - typically between 6-12 months. Used for gate entry switch. Can’t believe they have not improved the design. Sloppy product management. Found a much better one on Amazon.

Exactly as described
This is a Single Press RETRACTIVE switch and does exactly what it should do. It fits my purposes perfectly - it operates a relay on a timing circuit. People are scoring it with 1* because they failed to read or understand the description. Its a good price for a reasonable product, but it's not perfect as it is not completely waterproof and water penetrated the casing after a couple of years. It is mounted with the cable entry downwards so I can see no reason for this. This meant the switch would fail to operate the circuit 9 times out of 10. Even disassembly and cleaning failed to restore perfect operation. Fix that and it would be very good

Good item, wrongly described
The item itself is perfectly fine but it is NOT a switch, the purpose for which I bought it.

Do Not Buy!
I bought three of these "switches", drilled,rawlplugged, fixed, and wired them into our outdoor lighting system only to find they are not switches at all! Two operated as a "push button", the lights only coming on with the switch held down and one wouldn't switch off. Nowhere on the boxing or in the instruction sheet is there any indication the the unit is other than a conventional switch. The whole Diall range appears suspect, as a junction box purchased contained no internals (ie terminal blocks) and leaked, and an external socket has a flap that is difficult and painful on the fingers to open and close and is of a rather cheap looking plastic.

Very Poor Description
As other have said, this is not a switch but a push button. When you buy it the description is clearly for switch and not a push. Its going back for a refund, wish I could claim for the 30 mile round trip and wasted time

Push Switch
I wanted a robust and weather proof push switch for use on my electric gate. This does the job. Be aware this is a push switch can be wire push to OFF or push to ON momentarily ONLY. The instructions do not make clear that you need a separate supply for some configurations of the power light

Not as described
Further to all the other reviews, why are B&Q continuing to sell what is little better than a bell push. They are wasting a lot of people's time. This is NOT a light switch unless you are prepared to stand there with your finger on the switch

This is not a light swich
Don't buy this if you won't it to switch a light on or off. This isn't a toggle switch, b and q should not be selling this as a lighting switch.if like me your reading this you've already discovered that you have wired in a useless item.and I'll have to go to my local dig store and get something else,NOT HAPPY
