Secondary glazing film: successful
I bought 4 packs of this product a month ago. I'm half way covering the windows. I had to stop, because the job is best done during warmer weather so as not to trap condensation. The sheets are the size of 2 m X 4 m. There are no instructions on the box. You might run out of the 2-sided adhesive tape before you run out of film, but it's worth buying the extra box just for the special tape. The film will have some lines, but it will do the job temporarily, maybe a couple of years, if done correctly . It will not work on panes behind a sash latch. Tips: Look on YouTube for guidance. Make sure your windows and frames are clean and free of mould. Treat and paint, if necessary, first. It's worth it in the long run. Don't open up all the film on the floor; the static will pick up dust. Use a darker sheet as a base, else the film will be "invisible" when cutting. Use very sharp scissors. Measure accurately and cut straight, leaving 3" all around. Don't try and do too big an area; split it, if possible. Use a fan heater on window sill to get rid of any moisture. Start from the top. Remove top layer of tape, place film as horizontal as possible, a little stretch and then repeat below. Make sure film is firmly glued top and bottom, the remove tape on sides and stretch to the sides, before pressing down accurately. Best to view examples on YouTube first.

Awkward to fit and obvious once fitted
It works as a temporary winter measure, however the film is heavily scratched which doesn't disappear when you apply heat like the wrinkles so it very noticeable when applied. The double sided tape is very thin and frustratingly hard to peel the paper layer from unlike thicker standard double sided tape.

Excellent value, can't understand the bads reviews
Bought this a temporary fix for old double glazed pvc windows. Some of the reviews said that the tape was not sticky so I was a bit unsure, I washed the frames and then wiped them with white spirits and dried them. The tape stuck firmly to the frame and the film sticks to the tape really well too, no issues. For performance it is still early days but the room does feel warmer. At the price it's a no lose situation, definitely worth a try

decevant

I couldn't do it
I bought this for a large sash window. The height is about 3m from the ground so I needed a ladder to apply the film to the top. However, I was then unable to peel away the top covering from the tape and indeed this is extremely difficult in any case. I eventually gave up and have been looking for alternatives.

solution geniale !!!

Window film
Used this on a couple of single glazed windows, as long as it is sealed properly it stopped most of the condensation, takes a bit of practice to use, good for the price.
