It's a light!
This is an ideal LED unit to replace an existing fluorescent lamp as the cable entry is in the centre of the batten (other units may have a connector at the end). it starts quickly as you would expect an LED to do, gives out a decent amount of light with a warmish colour (not too blue!).

Great light, but now only works intermittently
I fitted this light a few months ago and all was fine until recently. Every now and then, if someone switches off the light and then attempts to switch it back on, nothing happens. If the light is left for a few minutes (not sure how many) the light will start working again. Does anyone else have this issue and is this a sign that the light is on its way out?

LED Batten
I have replaced garage lights (1 Florescent and 2 others). with these LED lights. They give a good light. Cannot understand why the strip of LEDs is non replaceable.

Good Light; Minor flaws
Bought 2 to replace old fluorescents in garage. Light is much better, and of course comes on immediately. However, there are only fixing holes in the base at each end. This is a bit limiting. I had to fit battens to the joists to fix the lights to as the fixing holes were nowhere near the right place. A few more holes along the length would provide more flexibility. Also it is quite hard to push in the clips to release the end caps. One of my clips broke off although I used the same technique with all 4.

Super bright.
Was not sure if it would be a bright as a normal fluorescent tube but I needed not worry. Light is nice and bright and really easy to fit with the quick release connector and going to save on electric.

Does the job really well.
Installed 2 of these in my garage to replace the single low watt energy saving bulb that TaylorWimpey put in there in the first instance. I can now work in my garage with the doors closed and not need any additional lights. Easy to fit, and bright white light. Relatively cheap too. I suppose if I had to be critical, the LED units are not replaceable, so they are a throw away product when the light fails but I think it's guaranteed for 8000 hours.
