Write date on them
Have got through a batch of these already within the year, so now I am writing the date on the stem to see how long they actually last. Paid top price for them last year!

Intermittent dimming
First: is this the same lamp? Mine has Osram AA66587 on the glass; it looks exactly the same as the B&Q illustration. I bought two about three months ago to replace spotlamps in a ceiling fitting. First impressions were excellent, with a good bright light. Now both lamps exhibit occasional dimming, when they dim to a weak glow, resuming full brightness after a short time. This fault is not mentioned on the Osram website, but it seems it may be due to overheating of the internal electronics; the lamp returns to normal operation when it cools. The fitting is not tightly enclosed, but is sealed above the lamp, so there is no though air current.

OK whilst it lasted
Lasted less than one month. Didn't keep receipt ! Not surprised they're reduced. Giving LED a bad name.

Unbreakable?
I couldn't believe this bulb still worked after my new light fell from the ceiling during fitting!!! Gives a good light too without being too harsh

Super Energy saving bulb
Looked into to replacing 3 x 60W halogen spotlight bulbs in a kitchen spotlight fitting, and wanted, overall, to save on electric, so tried these and I can say they are superb, even better than the previous halogen light bulbs I had in the fitting previously. So now instead of using 180W to illuminate my Kitchen I'm now only using no more than 29W with a better quality light. Enough said, would highly recommend.
