Absolute rubbish
This socket is useless for outdoor use. I didnt realise until I'd installed it that the postion of the socket means that the cable doesnt align with the cable outlet at the bottom of the socket. This means anything with a moulded plug (ie anything you use outdoors) wont push into the socket. The whole thing is super-cheap plastic and wont last two minutes either. Absolute rubbish.

Disappointed with this item
When you open the box there is a remote control which will turn on/off up to four items which is great, praise over I’m afraid, if the remote is capable of operating up to four devices then why is the receiver only capable of operating one device, there is no reference on the box to suggest that the device only operates one device or am I missing something, misleading and disappointed with this item, the only reason I didn’t return the item is because the electrician had already wired it all in before I got home.

Diall External Remote
I bought a few weeks ago seems to work well for switching on my pond pumps, just wish it activated from about 40-50 meters.

remote control outdoor socket
Bought about 5 weeks ago to control outdoor water feature. Installation was quite easy and construction quality of socket was good. Only criticism is on/off/auto switch, in auto position (necessary for programming remote ) the switch action is less than positive and takes several attempts to make proper contact, otherwise works well.

Great remote control outdoor socket
Installed this about a month ago for an outdoor water feature. All works great so far. A good quality product and very reasonable price.

Assuming this has the same electronics as the 13A Remote Controlled Connection Unit it has great advantages over those cheaper remote control sockets. These are; a) Better range b) You can control each unit with two remote controls if required. Ideal if you wish to carry one in the car to switch outside lights on/off then once indoors switch the same lights with another remote control unit. c) More reliable than those cheap solutions
