Not the best

I bought these bulbs for a couple of downlighter fittings positioned over a shower. They're not very bright for the rating. In fact I found that Osram make MR16 LEDs which are rated lower at 5.9W and are actually brighter than these Diall 6.5W lamps so I opted for these instead (the Osrams are also dimmable).

Dreadful

Bought a twin pack to replace halogen 12v lamps. The stated equivalent output on the packaging was 35w halogen rating. In reality the existing halogens give a strong pool of light but these were very dim, a gentle downlight like you would have in a low wattage bedside lamp. I'd say not even half as bright, probably equal to 20-25w incandescent. Not fit for purpose at the stated rating. Pitiful, taken back for immediate refund

Flickers as halogen replacement

I bought four of these as halogen replacements. Two flickered after heating up. I brought back the two flickering bulbs and got them replaced. One of the two new ones also flickered. I ended up bringing all four back for a refund. These bulbs cannot be used as halogen replacement without looking at the driver side of the installation. I did not try changing the transformer for a led driver, but I have successfully used other led bulbs without changing the driver circuit. The colour temperature of the bulbs was very pleasant and similar to halogen.

poor quality

The quality is poor. It shows it's 345 lumens but other 250 lumens led is brighter than it.

Failed within 48 hiurs

I bought these to replace the halogen bulb in my bathroom. When I first switched them on they were fine, as they were the following morning but by the time I went to switch them on in the evening one did not come on, the other flickered for a few seconds and then went off. Had to put my old bulbs back in which work fine. Will be taking them back, cannot recommend them

No Problems!

I bought these LED bulbs to replace old LV halogen units which had failed. To be honest, I didn't really expect the two replacements to work too well alongside the remaining four halogens, but they were a straight replacement and work really well, with no noticeable difference from the originals. A great result, and I'll follow up with the other units in due course.

Excellent replacements

Just fitted 10 of these in my kitchen ceiling and work perfectly. Light colour and intensity spot on with the 50w MR16 halogens. Transformers are at least 15 yr old and work no problem, so I guess the problems other reviewers had must be transformer issues.

Flicker like mad

Today I bought eight of these for my kitchen. Unfortunately they all flicker / strobe. So I decided to try a bulb from another manufacturer, which were a little more expensive, and they are all fine. Going to take them all back this week for a refund.

Outstanding

I have kind of gone a little bit LED bulb crazy at the moment and am currently replacing all of my light bulbs with LED ones. I have just replaced four 20W halogen bulbs with these and the quality of light from the LED's surpasses the light from the halogens.
