Easy fit - great performance
After being driven demented trying fit a leak in the coupling to my original valve which had a plastic thread to attach tothe mains, I bought one of these. Easily fitted. Great result. I can only echo "everyman's" comments among te reviews. My only gripe was that the adjustable function was not described on the packaging and it was only after reading "Everyman's" comments it became clear

Replaced leaking Armitage Shanks Univalve
Perfect fit. Only one adjustment needed. To do this lower the grey plastic pin until it comes loose then twist/rotate body clockwise (it will click immediately it moves - just a little). This allows adjustment of the assembly length to increase water level. When at desired setting reverse previous twist/rotation and reinsert grey plastic pin (in locking position) by pushing it upwards. It's worth setting the height as a trial-run before fitting because that makes it easier to adjust (if needed) when fitted. Low cost and very quiet in operation.

The instructions could be clearer but didnt take a lot of working out. It fitted well and seems to be working fine.

Just fitted this, far quicker filling than my old inlet valve. Instructions could be clearer so take your time studying them. Very pleased though!!

Good product
Fitted this about a week ago and it seems quite strong and well built. If there were any negatives the adjustment is awkward if it has to be adjusted after fitting. I worked out after fitting, the top of float chamber is the level the water stops. So work your water level from that. the second point is not really a negative but the coned rubber seal is quite thick so marrying the bottom of the 1/2 inch fitting to the existing pipe was difficult. The thick rubber mad it short by about 5mm. I ended up using the old rubber seal. Apart from this it works really well and is simple to fit and at a really great price.

A good design and fair price. Instructions -- hopeless in the extreme. Try to work it out before you fit the product. Adjust water level mechanism before you install. afterwards is almost impossible. I am not thick - two degrees, ex teacher, RAF officer and gentleman, father of three and good handyman with established skill of hand. It still took me 30 minutes to sort of work out how it works. No contact address from Diall to request help or support. Inexcusable. Still have a problem in slow fill - takes 30 minutes to fill cistern. Any ideas? Best of luck. Simple to install fills cistern quickly and quiet
after the shocking fill valve on our toilet we decided to replace with this product. It was easy to install and instructions were simple enough. I noticed it was quiet while filling as i think it fills from bottom and it switched off simply. The adjustment is a little grey clip that pulls down then twist and you can extend to required level and then twist back and push clip up .... simple. the brass bottom that fits to water inlet is buttery smooth. really habbpy with this product. and to top it all off the cost is perfect.
