Dreadful quality
Second one that I have bought. When screwed in the latch always sticks so door never stays shut. Do not buy this product

Description incorrect
The backset is the centre of the spindle not the length of the latch. Description says backset is 76mm the length is described as 170mm and 76mm wide. These are not the case, has to be returned as no good for the job.

Well thought out
I particularly wanted a latch where the polished chrome was going to remain in nice condition. The plastic latch bolt does just that and is also quieter in operation so rather being a con as mentioned by someone else here being plastic is a pro for me. The chrome plating is not the very best quality but for the price it does the job admirably. What is misleading are the dimensions in the product details. All these tubular latch pages need to be reviewed and have a small drawing to make things clear. To maintain smooth action of all latches and handles I recommend spraying moving parts with WD-40 Specialist Anti-Friction Dry PTFE Lubricant; top stuff.

Complete junk. Lousy spring. The actual latch bolt is made from PLASTIC !!!!
