Slow down.
Dremel themselves don't claim great durability of these type wheels, I suppose because of the size of them and what they're put through. I've found they're better than the cheap ones off ebay but run them too fast and like anything at high speed centrifugal force it wants to fly off, the bristles. I've found after destroying a few including cheap ones, the best thing to do is run them slow and they last a lot longer. I use these and others a lot on cleaning motorcycle parts etc. My only gripe is they are a bit expensive.

Not very happy
I used this to derust some bike handlebars. It lasted about 3 minutes and then there wasn't a bristle left. I made a conscious effort to go lightly and let the speed to the work. Obviously I didn't go lightly enough! It worked out at more than a £1 a minute. Simply not worth it to me and not worth a star but I have to give it one to post this. It turns out you can make a decent job of cleaning rusty Chrome with aluminium kitchen foil. Don't email me on this thing as I've told you all I know.
